As long as I can remember I’ve been optimistic about life and work. My interests in bringing order to chaos and practicing strategies that influence wellbeing is revealed in most of my life domains, whether designing spaces or supporting individuals at making positive life changes.
I founded DecisionLab Global and designed The Lead2Flourish methodology after transitioning from corporate leadership to entrepreneurship. I was puzzled by the plethora of employee wellbeing programs, but little or none expressed specifically toward the executive, particularly holistically. In spite of their education and training, I observed executives and their teams still floundered in one or more life domain. Floundering is caused by our ‘wiring’ — the different thoughts, beliefs and behaviors we bring to the table. This evidence inspired me to do something about the problem.
With the knowledge and experience of balancing timeless principles and emerging research, I organize and facilitate The Lead2Flourish practices and has taught thousands of people in a training format how to shift behaviors, identities and mental models to take back control of their behavioral health.
Drawing on my operational experience as an applied psychology practitioner, teacher and former corporate leader, I want to support top leaders at concretely implementing the Lead2Flourish tools in their lives.
I’ve often wondered if this flourishing approach to life would have prevented a corporate colleague from committing suicide years ago.
Recently I was invited by dignitaries in Johannesburg, S.A.; Lagos, Nigeria and New Delhi, India. My advice has appeared in O Magazine, Huffington Post, Thrive Global, HGTV, South Africa FM, Fine Living, Meredith Publications and others. Currenty I share my advice in CEOWORLD magazine.
My diverse resume includes leadership roles with JP Morgan Chase, Citicorp; adjunct instructor, award winning author, founder of a women’s and an interior architecture consultancy.
With a Ph.D in Theological Psychology from Chesapeake Bible Seminary and certification in Applied Psychology from The Flourishing Center (UPenn), currently I am writing a book on The Lead2Flourish methodology. My undergrad work includes a BA in Economics from City University of NY and Interior Architecture Design from Northampton College.
And I would go to the moon and back for my husband, Eric, my daughter Tishay and two handsome grandsons, Isaiah and Joshua.
